Chief Strategy Officer
Adam Strong is the Chief Strategy Officer at MedCerts, where he plays a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s strategic direction and ensuring operations are in place to facilitate continued growth. Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, Adam currently resides there with his wife and three children, two daughters, and a son aged 10, 7, and 5 respectively.
Joining MedCerts in May 2023, Adam brings more than 15 years of expertise in finance, accounting and operations leadership. His journey includes impactful roles such as Chief Financial Officer at PeopleGrove and Vice President of Finance at Degreed, showcasing a consistent dedication to enhancing the landscape of higher education.
As an innovative and energetic leader, Adam focuses on streamlining business operations, providing decision-driving insights, and boosting efficiency and productivity. His commitment to fostering a positive and collaborative team culture has earned him recognition throughout his career.
Adam oversees the Accounting/Finance and Business Intelligence teams at MedCerts. The Accounting/Finance team handles all financial transactions, including customer invoices, cash collections, vendor payables and financial controls and reporting. The Business Intelligence team reports on key metrics and insights, supporting informed decision-making.
His top goal for the teams is to streamline operations, creating scalable and efficient processes to facilitate profitable business growth.
Adam emphasizes that his teams support the entire MedCerts organization by handling accounting/finance functions for all transactions and reporting on metrics across all departments.
Committed to positive problem-solving, he encourages new hires to bring an open mind and a fresh perspective to contribute to ongoing improvements. Understanding the nuances between B2B and B2C channels is crucial for success, and Adam invites new hires to approach challenges with a solutions-focused mindset.
Outside of work, Adam dedicates time to his family, coaches youth sports and pursues hobbies like basketball, skiing and music. An aspiring musician, he plays guitar and banjo, occasionally testing out stand-up comedy material at open mic nights.
